Al-Anon
Al-Anon Family Groups provide support to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking. Al-Anon is a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience in order to solve their common problems.

Alcohol Concern

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
AA is an informal society that offers self-help groups across the country. Members will share their experiences and help other group members to recover from alcohol dependence. A 12-step approach is used.

FRANK (formerly the National Drugs Helpline)
FRANK aims to reduce the harm caused by drugs and operates at a national and local level. FRANK offers information, advice and tips, and can direct you to local services, drop-in centres and groups. Will also provide advice and information to drug users, their friends and families.

Hampshire Users Forum (HUF)
HUF is an independent group of ex- and on-going drug users who meet every three months. Membership is drawn from the Hants & IoW area. The group was set up to allow people involved in similar activities a regular opportunity to get together nad share experiences, good practice and learn from each others’ mistakes in what is a relatively new thing to most of us. New members are always welcome.

Methadone Alliance
The Alliance is a user led organisation which provides advocacy, training and helpline services to those currently in drug treatment, those who have accessed drug treatment in the past and those who may access drug treatment in the future.

Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
NA is a non-profit Fellowship of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. Members are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. The only requirement for membership is the desire to stop using. The information on their web site is provided for those who think they may have a drug problem, for professionals working with addicts seeking recovery and for recovering addicts.

Release
