SPECIALIST SERVICE - SOUTHAMPTON

AIMS
To reduce the harm caused by drugs to individuals and communities. This is via the provision of a day service that supports change through group work and non drug using activities.

STATUS
Voluntary (part of Cranstoun Drug Services)

TARGET GROUP
18+ problematic drug users who could benefit from a structured day service and want to change their drug using behaviour.

MODELS OF PRACTICE
• Modular group programmes that cover assertiveness, decision-
  making, drug and alcohol awareness, diversity, relapse prevention,
  relaxation and motivational enhancement. Other areas are also
  covered as the need dictates
• To promote and support non-drug using activities via the use of
  sport and introduction to computing. Shiatsu massage and
  auricular acupuncture also available within the day service
