AIMS The Real World Trust provides housing services for people recovering from addictions. The provision includes a 10-bed hostel and a visiting support service to people in their own homes. The Real World Trust is currently reviewing its options for providing treatment services including counselling and group work. STATUS Charity TARGET GROUP People living on the Isle of Wight who are in recovery from addiction. The hostel is unable to accommodate people currently using alcohol or non-prescribed drugs. MODELS OF PRACTICE Supporting People referral system: • Key worker support (hostel) • Visiting support (at home) • Life skills, training employment, housing and health advice • Alcohol testing with consent • Volunteering and employment (in development) |
