AIMS

To develop new, creative and pragmatic responses in order to tackle the impact and harm caused by drugs to individuals and communities

TARGET GROUP

18+ who have concerns around their primary drug of choice

MODELS OF PRACTICE

  • Assessment and care plans to address client’s needs
  • Support and guidance for clients
  • Advice & education on health, social and legal issues relating to drug use
  • Advice for relatives, partners and concerned individuals about drug use
  • Advice on Harm Reduction
  • One-to-one key-working using Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitional Behavioural Techniques and Relapse Prevention
  • Auricular Acupuncture
  • Structured Groups: Covering “Motivational Enhancement”, “Relapse Prevention” and “Choosing to Change”
  • Workshops – One-off group sessions covering advice and information regarding substance misuse
  • Onward referrals to relevant agencies both Statutory and Voluntary, including Residential Rehabs
  • Engagement and through care services
